The Yeldell Family (Through My Eyes)

Jill Scott – Family Reunion

I am a single mother of four beautiful children. They are my inspiration for this blog and everything that I have done.  Because of them I am fighting what feels like a losing battle drawing my family closer together.  We are a large family and must get to know each other.  I have vowed to continue learning more about our past so the future will know who they are and where they come from.

Peace & Blessings

Hello,

My mother is a Yeldell in Edgefield, SC. Her paternal lineage is of George and Annie Yeldell from Edgefield. This past week my family had a Yeldell Family meeting and your articles in the Edgefield Advertiser came up. They are interested in speaking with you, if you would like the same.

Hi Stephanie I sent you an email with my cell phone number please tell your family I look forward to hearing from them.

Stephanie please have your mom call me. I to change phones several times so her number was lost. I have received the invite and have called the number with no answer there are several questions that I have. I hope to hear from her soon if you need my number again please send me an email and I will give it to you.

My name is Elizabeth Yeldell. I have always been interested in learning more about the Yeldell name and its heritage. I enjoyed reading your site, you have worked hard for your information. Do you have any idea where the name Yeldell originates or its ethnicity? I am asked at least once a week where the name comes from because it is so unusual.

Elizabeth Yeldell says:

Keep up the hard work!

Elizabeth I have been just recently asked that same question and I am going to look into it. I would love to talk more with you to find out more about your family to help me see where we are connected. feel free to email me at donya_20746@yahoo.com. Can’t wait to hear from you.

Your website is beautiful. I am my family’s historian. Your site has given me some excellent ideas for a site of our own. We are also long time DC natives, but we are from Virginia. I am related to the Yeldells by marriage. My great aunt, Evangeline Greene, was married to David Lee Yeldell. Your Uncle David was a wonderful man and I loved him dearly. My step-father, James Thomas Jr., was married to Diane Patsy Yeldell. There is a picture of my step-brother, James “Moby” Thomas, on your site. Congratulations on your research success thus far and continue to enjoy the journey.

Thank you so much Cynthia I would love to just compare notes.
